getting your business off the ground with what you've got

Boostrapping Bootcamp

Most successful businesses weren't the result of huge personal risk, visionary business plans or up-front venture capital investment. They were started as low-risk part-time projects.

We'll show you how successful entrepreneurs start here - then take their part-time businesses to profit.

COURSE CONTENT

Lean Startup

Learn about the management techniques which have been used by some of the most successful Silicon Valley startups recently. We'll guide you through creating your "learning loop" to validate your business idea in small chunks, and set you up with a lightweight "Kanban" system to do that faster with limited time.

Choosing a business model

Getting started with the right business model can be a make-or-break difference when you're launching part-time. Learn how to understand, assess and design your business model so that it's more likely to succeed at the difficult early stages.

Getting Paying Customers

It's a great feeling when your part-time business finally makes enough money to allow you to leave your day-job. We'll work with you to apply Customer Development - how to find and talk to the right customers, so that you know your time investment is getting you towards paying customers.

Design Techniques

Design techniques are an easy way to stop you from spinning your wheels.  Even if you're not a designer or a visual person, we'll show you how to understand your customers much better and avoid making things unncessarily hard for your them. People will "get it" and you'll progress with less friction.
